After an international flight, the difficult part of arrival is often coordination. A meet-and-greet arrangement should explain exactly where a representative waits, how you contact them and what happens if the flight changes. It should not rely on the assumption that a driver can meet you anywhere inside the airport.
Establish the meeting point
Ask for the airport name, terminal, arrival hall and a clear meeting description. Confirm what name appears on the sign and save the contact number offline. Standard arrivals pickup generally begins after the passenger completes border and baggage procedures; any service inside restricted areas needs separate confirmation and authorization.
Plan for a slow arrival
Flight tracking does not reveal how long baggage or immigration will take. Get the waiting allowance and any extra waiting charges in writing. Establish what to do if your phone has no data, if baggage is delayed or if you exit from an unexpected door. A screenshot of the meeting instructions is often easier to retrieve than an email attachment.
Match the vehicle to the passengers
Count large bags as well as seats. Request child restraints or accessible transport ahead of time, with details rather than a general preference. Supply the hotel’s Chinese name and address so the transfer goes to the correct property. Keep the first evening light; even a smooth pickup cannot remove the fatigue of a long journey. Do not pay an unfamiliar person claiming to be your assigned representative until you verify the arrangement through your known contact.
